Finding the Right Mold Solutions

For mold in the refrigerator, toss out any food that has been sitting longer than a few days. Take everything out, unplug the refrigerator and give the inside a good scrubbing with a bleach and water solution. For pesky areas you may need a scrub brush. Rinse the cleansed areas with water until all residue of mold and bleach is gone, and use old towels to completely dry your refrigerator. From there, you can plug in your refrigerator back in and replace the unspoiled food.

One of the primary mold solutions is bleach, and bleach is a major mold killer, and can be used in bathrooms, kitchens, basements and other areas although you may want to add a bit of detergent and mix the solution with water so it will not be abrasive. Also, always wear gloves when you are cleaning with bleach or any other kind of mold solution. When it comes to mold, bleach not only helps dissolve it but also disinfects the area. Because it can release toxic fumes, make sure you use it in a well-ventilated area. After cleaning any area that was affected by mold, make sure the area is dried as fast as possible and kept dry.

There are other mold solutions that can be purchased, however for big infestations it is a good idea to hire a professional crew to get rid of the mold in your home. This is especially the case with black mold, the most toxic of mold types. The best thing to do is attack your mold problem as soon as you notice it, so that it does not spread and take over your home. It should be recognised that mold often begins as a little problem, but that one that can quickly become a large one if not taken care of quickly.
