To prevent the mold from reoccurring, you can make your home mold resistant by keeping all the rooms dry. Avoid keeping too many houseplants, as although aesthetically pleasing, they can contribute to any mold problem. When you take a bath or shower, dry all bathroom surfaces after you are finished. And, perform a regular mold inspection in areas you don't visit often such as the attic, basement or your crawl space. These are common areas that retain moisture where mold can grow.
